Growing up in Stillwater, Minnesota, family and friends always said I had a creative gift for taking care of people. At the young age of 14, I began my nursing career as a Nursing Assistant for a local nursing home. During the next 20 years I began climbing the "Healthcare Ladder Of Education" becoming a real nurse with the title " RN." Diversely trained by the best, my compassion and experiences skilled me in Cardiac Intensive Care and Emergency Nursing. Somewhere in there, I spent a lot of time in the OB unit, being blessed with 5 children as well. Oh, and I can't forget 2 dogs and a rabbit. We now reside in a log cabin home in LeCenter. My favorite quote: "To get something you never had, you have to do something you never did." When God takes something from your grasp, He's not punishing you, but merely opening your hands to receive something better. My favorite past time memories are with grandma teaching me to crochet afghan's and with mom baking bread. Currently, I have found a love in the restoration of classic cars. There's no greater sound than the "blup..,blup,blup... blup" at a stop sign. Continuing through my seasoned nursing career, I found myself searching for a company that promoted true values, and vision; one that would implement and ensure services promised; one with programs and managers that motivated employees to maximize the quality and dignity of life for the clients served. I believe I have found such a company here with The Goodman Group. I am so thankful to have been given this opportunity to work here at The Commons on Marice. |
